The LaJoie surname has been synonymous with success on the race track for three generations. NASCAR Cup Series® star Corey LaJoie is currently having a career-best season. His father, Randy, was a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series® champion and was named as one of the 75 greatest drivers in NASCAR® history. Both racers credit the patriarch of the racing family, Don LaJoie, as the foundation for their passion for the sport.

During the 2023 edition of the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR® at Darlington Raceway, Corey LaJoie will honor his grandfather’s motorsports legacy with a special retro paint scheme on his No. 7 NATIONSGUARD Chevrolet Camaro. The third-generation driver’s car will sport a livery that pays homage to one his grandfather drove in one of his five Danbury (CT) Racearena track championships in 1972.
